Blueberry Misty - Vaccinium corymbosum

APPEARANCE : Semi-deciduous blueberry, evergreen in frost-free locations, with blue-green foliage and small bright pink flowers in spring. Southern highbush variety, suited to warm climates with hot summers, mild winters, and regular rainfall. Low chill hours required, perfect for the subtropics. Medium to large berries, sweet and very flavoursome.
USE FOR : Plant as a feature and enjoy the juicy berries through summer. Eat fresh from the bush or add to a favourite sweet treat.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shaded in free draining acid soil. For best results dig well composted manure through the soil prior to planting. If you don't have acid soil blueberries will grow in a container of ericaeous compost (for azaleas).
CARE : Apply a good layer of mulch on the soil after planting, keeping it away from the plant stems, this helps to keep the shallow root system cool and moist. Keep the plant well watered during spring and summer. Prune mid winter. Treat unwanted garden pests with organic eco-oil.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 2 m H x 2 m W
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
