Monstera deliciosa - fruit salad plant, swiss cheese

APPEARANCE : Stunning foliage plant ideal for shaded areas. Leaves may reach up to 1 metre, each uniquely shaped. Fruit is slow to ripen, almost a year and is just as unique as the foliage, sweet, juicy with an almost prickly feel.
USE FOR : Plant as a striking feature in tropical garden settings or keep indoors in a large pot.
CLIMATE : Protect from frost.
PLANTING : Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter in a part-full shade location for lush green foliage.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly during the first 12 weeks until the plant is established. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser yearly to ensure healthy growth. A dousing of liquid fertiliser monthly in hot climates will keep the foliage looking great. For potted plants, avoid overwatering. Spray foliage with a trigger spray to freshen indoor plants and wipe leaves if they look dusty.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 1.5-2.5 m H x 1-2 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
