Lovely perky native waxflower, on the larger size ideal for feature planting, informal privacy hedges, and maximising the impact of your native wildlife garden. Pale pink buds open and mature into deep pink flowers with burgundy-red centres -  a striking contrast.

APPEARANCE: Native medium-large Australian shrub with a upright growth habit, slender needle leaves, and pink flowers each with a red eye appearing in winter-spring. Flowers will open pale pink and deepen as they mature.
USE FOR: Feature shrub, native mixed plantings, large informal hedge, wildlife attracting. Long-lasting cut flower for the home too.
CLIMATE: Suitable to exposed areas in most parts of Australia. Tolerates light frost and drought once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in sunny to part shade; sandy soil is ideal. Best flowering is achieved in full sun.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season, avoid cutting into old wood. Fertilise yearly using a slow release native fertiliser.
