Cute little succulent with finger-like stems, fun for indoors and outside in a free-draining soil. Gollum likely won't live to 600 years like Smeagol, but it's hard to kill, easy to look after, and great for beginner gardeners to get started on their love of plants.
Crassula ovata 'Gollum' APPEARANCE : Succulent from southern Africa with clusters of slender finger-like bright green stems, flaring into round tips which can be red-tinted. After several years, plants produce a trunk like a miniature tree. Mature happy plants may produce small starry pale pink-white flowers in winter. USE IN : Great for rockeries, terrariums, pots indoors and out, xeriscaping. Can be bonsaied. PLANTING : Plant in free-draining light soil in sun for maximum colour and compact shape. Will grow taller in low light. Hardy and drought tolerant once established. CARE : Water until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Once established, water when soil is dry. Keep it in a sunny position for at least part of the day. HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.8m H x 0.5m W. YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot height is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
