Compact pond lily with the most richly dark leaves that glow in sunlight, and straight stems of beautiful pink blooms that rise above the leaves. If you don't have a boggy spot or pond to plant it in, it grows great in a pot too.

Crinum 'Menehune' hybrid "Wine Time' - swamp lily
APPEARANCE: Compact fountain-shaped strappy-leaved plant with long slender maroon-purple leaves. Smooth stems topped with pink lily flowers August - January and at its peak in early summer.USES: Riverbanks and pond sides; boggy soils; will grow in shallow water too. Suitable for pots.
PLANTING: Swamp lilies prefer moist conditions and are suited to coastal and wet areas around water features and low lying areas of the garden. Plant in full sun to part shade. Tolerates frost and poor drainage. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal.
CARE: Mulch and water well, especially during dry periods.
