Pennisetum alopecuroides 'PAV300' "Pennstripe' PBR - swamp fountain grass
APPEARANCE: Ozbreed variety. Hardy Australian native tussock grass with a fine slender variegated leaf, under half the size of the species alopecuroides. Showy, feathery flowerheads with sterile seeds on upright stems appear from late summer to autumn.USE FOR: Mass planting, gardens near bushland, urban gardens, unpromising garden situations. Dry the flower plumes for home decor.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shade.
CLIMATE: Tolerates frost, drought,, humidity, moist boggy soils, clay soils, sandy soils, poor dry soils.
CARE: Cut it back by a third in late autumn-winter when the leaves change colour. Apply a controlled release fertiliser in winter after trimming to keep plants healthy.
