DESCRIPTION: Eelegant, dwarf ornamental grass with burgundy-purple foliage and cream-rose coloured plumes. Sterile, will not self-seed. USE IN: Perfect for rockeries and borders. Also great for containers. LOCATION: Pennisetums are hardy and prefer a full sun to part shade position in the garden. Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and water well to establish. Tolerates most soil conditions. Cut back in late winter to encourage new growth for spring. CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
