Stunning native rainforest tree with soft pink flowers and outstanding evergreen foliage, bronze when new. Smaller tree to 4-5m on average, with a slender shape, great for feature planting. High pest and disease resistance, low maintenance. Also known as Blueberry ash or native quandong.

We have these planted along our nursery driveway so if you come to pick up your plants you'll pass them!

Elaeocarpus reticulatus 'Prima Donna'

APPEARANCE : Great native rainforest tree, also known as blueberry ash, with beautiful bronze coloured new growth, can grow to 7-8m but rarely in suburban gardens. A popular street or specimen tree.  Flowers spring to early summer with clusters of pale pink ballerina-like flowers, , hence the name Prima Donna, sweetly scented and very pretty.  Fruit is a blue berry.
USE IN: Ideal for large hedges, screening plants and avenue planting or as a single specimen. 
LOCATION: Sunny position and is ideal in the warmer parts of Australia and in protected frost-free areas in cooler climates.  Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter and not over wet.
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune and fertilise yearly with a slow release native fertiliser. Pest and disease resistance is high so little maintenance is required once established.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 4-7 m H x 3 m W on average.
