Perky, pretty, red-pink-and-green little plant for tabletops and office desks, terrariums and windowsills. So neat you could even pop it into you car's cupholder and take it on a trip! Leaf colour will vary through deep red to warm pink depending on light levels and growth stage.
Fittonia albivenis 'Firetail' - snakeskin plant
APPEARANCE : Tiny little indoor foliage plant with attractive leaf patterning of deep red-pink on dark green. Low growing clumping variety with broader leaves than others.USES : Underplanting groundcover in subtropical gardens, indoors in pots and terrariums.
PLANTING : Plant in indirect or filtered sunlight to retain leaf colour. Prefers moisture-retaining soil or a good quality potting mix. Needs it 15C or above.
CARE : Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and regularly once established. Mist regularly if air humidity is low. Let it dry out a little between waterings; if it starts to wilt give it a good soak. Apply a slow release nitrogen-rich fertiliser every three months for vibrant healthy foliage. Remove the old leaves for a quick tidy up.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 5 - 15 cm H x 5 - 15 cm W.
