Lotus berthelotii 'Red Flash' - parrot's beak
APPEARANCE : Creeping or trailing sunloving groundcover from the Canary Islands, with conifer-like soft grey-green foliage and bright beak-shaped flowers in spring and summer. L. berthelotii the species form has burnt orange flowers where Red Flash has rich red ones.
USE IN: Rockeries and sunny borders; pots and hanging baskets where it can trail and show off its flowers.
PLANTING : Plant in a full sun to part shade in well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Protect from frost.
CARE: Mulch and water well during extended dry periods.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 20 - 25 cm H x 30 - 35 cm W.
