Foxglove Sutton's Apricot - seed
Super-pretty, super-tall, this beautiful apricot-peach-coral foxglove will add grandeur to your garden borders - especially moist and shady spots that could use some colour. Did you know? In English we call Digitalis fox-gloves, and in German they call them finger-hats!
Digitalis purpurea 'Suttons's Apricot' - foxglove - seed
DESCRIPTION: Very tall flowering biennial (sow in one year, flower in the next) with tall flower spikes bearing clusters of tubular flowers in delicate apricot pink. Digitalis will flower in shade. Enjoy cut flowers indoors in a vase. RHS Award of Garden Merit
PLANTING: Late summer-autumn avoiding extreme cold and heat, check the seed pack for detailed info on planting in your area. Sow seeds into seed raising mix or direct into their final position somewhere with part or dappled shade, scattered or in formal rows, cover with a light layer of soil and keep moist. Plant out in free draining moist soil. Preparing garden beds with well composted manure will give the best results.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and continue to provide water especially during dry spells. Mulch plants to keep the roots cool in summer. For an extra long flowering season, remove old flowering stems and feed with liquid fertiliser
