Gypsophila pink - seed
Gypsophila elegans 'Bright Rose' - pink baby's breath
DESCRIPTION: Annual cottage garden plant with small open flowers in pale pink.
PLANTING: Year round especially spring, avoid planting in extreme heat or cold. Sow seeds directly into garden beds or pots, barely cover (seeds need a little light to germinate), keep moist. Plant in free draining soil in a full sun to partly shaded location avoiding the hot afternoon sun which will cause the colour to fade.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and continue to provide water especially during dry spells. Mulch plants to keep the shallow roots cool in summer. For an extra long flowering season, remove spent blooms and feed with liquid fertiliser.
