Pyrostegia venusta - orange trumpet vine, flame creeper

DESCRIPTION: Rambling vigorous evergreen climber with clusters of vibrant orange tubular shaped flowers during winter through to spring.
LOCATION: Plant in a full sun position in the garden and allow plenty of room to grow, train over an old fence, trellis or pergola. Prefers warm climates, coastal areas from Sydney north.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established, and especially during dry periods, stake as needed to allow the vine to establish upright growth. Prune as required to maintain a tidy appearance. Fertilise using a slow release fertiliser twice yearly. Protect from frost.
