Peperomia obtusifolia 'Jade' - baby rubber plant, pepper face
DESCRIPTION: Tropical foliage plant with circular deep green fleshy leaves. Compact, developing branching semi-trailing side stems as the plant matures and grows. Happy plants produce tall pale green tail-like flowerspikes. USES: Container plant for a shaded patio, underplanting in tropical gardens, or indoors. Ideal for planting amid denser ground covers or for hanging baskets as it grows wider than tall. PLANTING: Plant in a bright spot with indirect sunlight or dappled shade. Prefers moisture-retaining soil or a good quality potting mix. Enjoys warm humid air and regular light watering with rainwater or filtered water for best results. CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and regularly once established. Mist regularly if air humidity is low. Apply a very diluted liquid feed every month in the warmer months for vibrant healthy foliage. Remove the old leaves for a quick tidy up. HEIGHT & WIDTH: 30cm H x 30cm W. YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tube-stock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. You can see an example in the image gallery. Plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
