Spathiphyllum Sensation - peace lily
Spathiphyllum 'Sensation' - peace lily
APPEARANCE : Very large, leafy spathiphyllum with an open habit, large leaves with a distinctive ribbed surface, and white flowers. Also known as peace lilies, these plants are native to South America and thrive in humid shady climates.
USE IN: Perfect indoor plant for adding a tropical vibe. Suited to shady underplanting outside in warm subtropical climates.
PLANTING: Plant in sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost and provide plenty of water during dry periods.
CARE: Water only when soil begins to dry, gently push your finger into the soil to test for moisture. Spathiphyllum thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust and spritz with a hand sprayer, this will refresh the foliage to its usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1m H x 1m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
