Peperomia verschaffeltii - dwarf watermelon

APPEARANCE : Tropical foliage plant with spoon-shaped fleshy leaves, bright lime green with wide, sparkly, silver stripes reminiscent of a watermelon. This dwarf variety has slightly longer thinner leaves than the circular ones of standard watermelon peperomia. Plants may produce small creamy cylindrical flowerspikes - you can see these in the image gallery.
USE FOR : Ideal container plant for a shaded patio or brightly lit room indoors. Understory shade planting in tropical gardens, amid denser ground covers.
PLANTING : Plant in a bright spot with indirect sunlight or dappled shade. Enjoys warm air and regular light watering with rainwater or filtered water for best results. It's semi-succulent so avoid overwatering and too much humidity.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and regularly once established. Mist regularly if air humidity is low. Apply a very diluted liquid feed every month for vibrant healthy foliage.
HEIGHT:  15 cm H
YOUR PLANTS : These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery
