Cute-as-a-button groundcover bottlebrush with bright scarlet spring flowers that the birds will love, and stiff bristly foliage to keep the weeds down. Neat, compact, well-behaved and adaptable to most garden soils and climates. Just give it an annual light clip to keep it looking fine.

Callistemon pearsonii 'Rocky Rambler'
APPEARANCE : A compact branching groundcover callistemon with neat form and fine stiff almost-spiny foliage which emerges in pale pink fluffy tufts. Large brilliant red brush flowers spangled with gold appear in spring. The parent form is indigenous to the Blackdown Tablelands of north Queensland
USE FPR : Landscaping, containers, rockeries, wildlife gardens, coastal gardens, weed suppressor.
LOCATION: Adaptable to all types of soil. Prefers full sun but will tolerate dappled shade Frost and drought tolerant once established.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune tips while young to encourage dense growth and fertilise with a slow release native fertiliser in spring.
