APPEARANCE : Very compact fine-leaf native Callistemon, bred from Captain Cook. New growth in autumn and spring is coppery rust-red; bright red flowers are self-cleaning. Ozbreed variety. USE FOR : Screen, hedge or feature for smaller gardens and compact planting areas. PLANTING : Full sun to part shade. Suits a wide variety of soils and tolerates drought and cold. CAREv: Mulch with chunky mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Use slow release fertiliser in spring. Responds well to yearly clipping if required.
