Native southern wattle tree, all-year flowering, tough and hardy, very easy going and low maintenance. Good little all-rounder.

Acacia retinodes - wirilda, swamp wattle

APPEARANCE :  Tall evergreen native wattle with long very slender grey-green leaves. Produces cream-yellow pompom flowers in spring and intermittently through the year.
USE FOR : Native gardens, bog gardens and to attract nectar feeding birds and butterflies. Very low maintenance and hardy.
PLANTING : Plant in any soil in full sun or shade. Non-invasive roots. Frost-hardy.
CARE:  Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering and apply a slow release native fertiliser to promote healthy leaf and prolific blooms during the next flowering season.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 5-8m H x 5m W.
