Dainty dark glossy leaves form a dense low mat, dainty red-yellow traffic light flowers bloom for almost half the year. This correa is happy by the seaside, in a shrub border, in tricky soils on steep banks, and is frost and drought tolerant. Flowers from a young age as you can see in the image gallery - tubestock already covered in flowers.

Correa decumbens - spreading correa

APPEARANCE : Native low-growing mat-forming shrub, with small dark glossy leaves and abundant small red tubular flowers in winter and summer.
USES:  Native and wildlife gardens, mass planting, bank binding, coastal gardens.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun to dappled shade. Unlike some natives, correas are happy in alkaline soils. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes. Tolerates frost, coastal spray, and dry spells once established.
CARE: A light prune once flowering has finished will help give the plant shape. Follow with an application of a native slow release fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.5m H x 1-3m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 42mm x 80mm
