The species form of the popular Campfire cultivar, capitella makes a great waterwise groundcover as the plant is lowgrowing but spreads widely up to a metre across. Easycare plant for indoors and outside in a free-draining soil. NB Spirals of green fleshy leaves turn red in full sun. These plants may arrive green but will soon redden up in sunlight.

DESCRIPTION: Low-growing carpet forming succulent. Spreading stems covered with spirals of fleshy leaves which turn dark red in sun.
USE IN: Great for rockeries, pots, landscaping, groundcover, xeriscaping. Hardy and drought tolerant once established.
LOCATION: Plant in free-draining soil in sun for maximum colour and compact shape. Will turn green and grow taller in low light. Frost free locations.
CARE: Water until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Once established, water when soil is dry. Keep it in a sunny position for at least part of the day.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.2m H x 1m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot height is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
