Hedera Camouflage - variegated ivy
Less vigorous than the all green kind, but still quick to get growing; ivy Camouflage has wonderfully random patterning in bright white over deep green.
Great easy-care air-cleaning indoor plant, beautiful self-clinging climber, superlative plant for wildlife - it's a fantastic shelter plant for birds and a food plant for insects.
Hedera helix 'Camouflage' - ivy
APPEARANCE: Vigorous evergreen self-clinging climber with dark green tri-lobed leaves patterned in white. When mature plants climb up a support and become tree-like, the leaves turn diamond-shaped and the plant will bear black berries in winter.
USE FOR : Works well trained over archways, or as regularly-clipped topiary. Enjoy indoors while plants are small (or regularly trimmed). Good groundcover - will self-root along its stems. Excellent plant for wildlife, for safety, nesting, food supply.
PLANTING : Plant in shade or filtered sun with plenty of indirect light. Suited to planting in shaded locations. Happy in almost any soil. Totally cold-hardy.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until plant becomes established. Feed with a controlled release yearly during spring and follow up with liquid fertiliser monthly during Summer. Provide extra water during dry periods. Growth can be prolific, cut back as required.
