Hedera White Diamond variegated ivy - 68mm BIGGER size
Fast-growing vigorous evergreen groundcover, and self-clinging wall climber, with bright white variegation on the leaves. Unlike Camouflage's bright leaf splashes, White Diamond has contrasting neat leaf edges.
Ivy is a fantastic shelter plant for birds and a food plant for insects, which in turn attracts birds. This one will need a little more light than the all-green kind, to keep that great leaf colour.
Best suited to cooler Aussie climates, or indoor growing in pots, but it's very robust, so test its heat-tolerance yourself.
Hedera helix 'white Diamond' - variegated ivy
APPEARANCE: Vigorous evergreen self-clinging climber with apple green tri-lobed leaves edged in cream-white. When mature plants climb up a support and become tree-like, the leaves turn diamond-shaped and the plant will bear black berries in winter.
USE FOR : An ideal solution to unsightly fences and walls. Works well over archways, or as regularly-clipped topiary. Enjoy indoors while plants are small (or regularly trimmed). Good groundcover - will self-root along its stems. Excellent plant for wildlife, for safety, nesting, food supply.
PLANTING : Plant in dappled shade or filtered sun with plenty of indirect light. Suited to planting in lightly shaded locations. Happy in almost any soil. Totally cold-hardy.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until plant becomes established. Feed with a controlled release yearly during spring and follow up with liquid fertiliser monthly during Summer. Provide extra water during dry periods. Growth can be prolific, cut back as required.
YOUR PLANTS : These are larger than our usual tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot is 68 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
