Double your fun with this beautiful nectar-rich exotic climber-trailer for frost-free locations. Pink blooms that come straight out of the branches; and white-freckled leaves all year round. Likes filtered light and humidity, not too much water especially in winter. You might find it as Silver Pink And Pink Silver, both are the same plant.

Hoya pubicalyx 'Silver Pink', 'Pink Silver' - wax flower

APPEARANCE: Exotic climber/trailer with fleshy, pointed, succulent leaves, speckled silver-white above, and apple green below. Large round clusters of pink starry waxy flowers. This variety is native to the Philippines and can grow to 6m H in its natural habitat.
USE IN: Beautiful indoor and conservatory plant for cooler states, or outside in subtropical gardens.
LOCATION: Plant in free-draining compost or orchid mix in bright or dappled light in the garden or indoors. In the wild they grow like bromeliads in the branches of trees. In far north Queensland they may flower less due to the warm winters
CARE: Keep it on the dry side, especially in the cooler months when growth slows. A cooler spot in winter seems to encourage flowering when the warmer summer weather returns. Mist regularly to maintain humidity if the air is dry and keep it above 5C.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2 - 3m H x 0.2m W.
YOUNG PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot height is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery.
