Anthurium andreanum 'Emma'

APPEARANCE : Broad pink heart-shaped flowers tapering to a point, with a central spadix that shades from pale pink to deep gold at the tip. Evergreen heart shaped pointed leaves. Anthuriums, commonly named 'Flamingo Flowers' are popular used as a cut flower for their unique heart shape and exceptional vase life of three weeks.
USE FOR : Tropical garden settings as underplanting in shady borders. Suited to pots and indoor gardens. Cut flowers for the home.
PLANTING : Plant in sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Plant away from areas where children and pets play as the leaves contain a poisonous substance. Avoid contact with skin.
CARE: For maximum flowering period provide plenty of bright, filtered light. Protect from frost and keep moist during dry periods. Anthuriums thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust, this will refresh the foliage to its usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.6-0.8m H x 0.6m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
