A fancy florist flower in your own back yard - compact oval peachy-white flowerheads, soft and velvety to the touch, appear in cooler months. Good size shrub for gardens, lovely foliage, more adaptable and easygoing than other protea varieties.
Protea neriifolia x susannae 'White Ice'

APPEARANCE: Hardy resilient protea with creamy-white flowers in autumn and winter, flushed peach on the outside. Forms a large woody shrub with long oval leathery leaves which are flushed red when new.
USES:  Feature shrub, natives border, in a large pot, low water use gardens, for cut flowers.
LOCATION: Plant in full sun with well-drained acidic soil, low in pH. Tolerates a light frost and drought spells once established.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly during the first 6-12 weeks or until the plant is established. Drought tolerant once established and should only need supplementary water in dry spells. Feed with a slow release fertiliser low in phosphorus
