Useful bright evergreen grass: very cold-hardy, doesn't mind deep shade or windy locations, and grows happily in clay. Bonus stems of tiny pale pink scented starry flowers which turn into red berries in autumn.
Reineckia carnea - hyacinth grass
APPEARANCE : Hardy vibrant grassy-strappy plant related to liriopes and ophiopogon. Short stems of pink-white scented flowers in spring-summer, followed by red berries in most autumns.PLANTING: Prefers shade or part-shade, and slightly acidic, moisture-retaining soil. Very frost-hardy and tolerant of exposed situations.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Divide if necessary in spring and follow up with regular applications of Power Feed to keep it looking its best.
HEIGHT AND WIDTH: 30 - 40 cm H x 50 cm W
