Easy peasy Appletini is an easy-care starter plant for young plant lovers, and a no-fuss plant for experienced gardeners. Fresh apple green leaves are dipped at the tip in black olive, for a zesty contrast. You can see how the colour changes through the year in the image gallery.

Sempervivums are often called stone roses or houseleeks because they can grow on a stone or tile on the slightest bit of moisture and nutrients. If you kill your plants through neglect, you might want to try sempervivums.

Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Appletini'™

DESCRIPTION: Small neat pointy rosette succulent , fresh apple green with the tip of each leaf a deep almost-black purple. Semper-vivum means "ever-living".
USE IN: Rockeries, pots, green roofs, indoors, waterwise gardens.
LOCATION: Plant in free-draining gritty soil in full sun for maximum leaf colour and root health. Rock-solid cold hardy and drought tolerant once established.
CARE: Don't overwater; and water around - not into - the rosettes during summer heatwaves. Carefully remove dead old leaves by pulling gently. If any pups (little plants) form, remove them carefully and pot them on, or leave them in place to form a colony of groundcovering rosettes.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 10 cm H x 10 - 20 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
