Description

Thryptomene saxicola 'F.C. Payne'

APPEARANCE: Native Australian shrub with a slightly weeping habit, slender evergreen aromatic foliage, and tiny pale pink flowers winter through to spring.
USE IN: Native mixed plantings, winter gardens, wildlife attracting.
LOCATION: Plant in very free draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position in the garden; sandy slightly acid soil is ideal. Tolerates light frost and drought once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering in spring to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season. Avoid cutting hard into old wood. Fertilise at the same time using a slow release native fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.75- 1m H x 1.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are larger than our usual tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot is 68 mm wide.
