Anigozanthos Bush Fury - kangaroo paw

Despite the name, this big paw's a pussycat, and will flower more than once through the year on bushy stems. A great native for mixed beds and borders, with lots of blooms for your bucks. Like Big Red, but half the height, easier to site in smaller gardens.

Anigozanthos x hybrid 'Bush Fury' PBR - kangaroo paw
DESCRIPTION: Medium-large kangaroo paw with dark red paw flowers each with a contrasting yellow-green centre; and a bushy growth habit giving lots of flowering stems.
USES: Plant as a feature in pots or use as a bordering plant in native gardens. Tolerant of coastal conditions, drought and light frosts. The flowers are nectar rich and bird attracting, popular used in cut flower arrangements. 
PLANTING: Plant in light free draining soil in a full sun location with plenty of air.  Kangaroo paws don't like too much humidity and do well in drier climates.
CARE: For best flowering display remove the first flower spike to help stimulate new flower buds. Prune spent flowers and dead foliage regularly and this plant will reward your efforts.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  1.2 m H x 1.5 m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants with healthy young roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
