Such a dainty little violet for your shade-dappled garden! Each petal is like a pointilliste painting. This pretty little thing originates from woodland places, where the soil is moist and it gets some leafy protection from the hot sun.

Viola sororia 'Freckles' - wood violet, woolly violet

APPEARANCE : Spreading low herbaceous perennial groundcover with heart-shaped leaves and white mini-pansy flowers spotted with purple, usually in spring.
ORIGIN : woodlands of North America
USE FOR : Mass planted as groundcover, for shady garden borders, between pavers, in hanging baskets and windowboxes
CLIMATE : Totally frost hardy
PLANTING : Plant in part shade or dappled shade in moist free draining soil. Happy in sandy or clay soils. If it likes the situation it may self-seed.
CARE : Provide plenty of water during the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established; and regularly in dry periods or when planted in sunnier locations. Feed with liquid fertiliser monthly during spring and summer for lush coverage.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 15cm H x 20cm W.
