Anthuriums are slow growing when young, and we propagate from tissue culture - individual plant cells - so availability is seasonal and limited.

Anthurium andreanum 'Bugatti Royale'
APPEARANCE : A tropical plant with large dark green heart shaped leaves, and distinctive rounded heart-shaped vermilion-orange flowers (botanically called spathes) during spring and autumn. The central spadix varies in colour from pink-orange to orange-gold. Leaves and flowers have a glossy surface and orange stems.USE IN: Tropical garden settings as a border or for creating depth using layers in underplanting. Suited to containers and indoor gardens as anthuriums flower in shade; longlasting as cut flowers.
PLANTING: Plant in sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost and provide plenty of water during dry periods. Plant away from areas where children and pets play as the leaves contain a poisonous substance. Avoid sap contact with skin.
CARE: For maximum flowering period provide plenty of bright, filtered light. Protect from frost and keep moist during dry periods. Anthuriums thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust, this will refresh the foliage to its usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 60-80 cm H x 60 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
