Beautifully handpainted by Mother Nature - 'obake' style anthuriums have shaded varying colours, in this case pink and green. Smaller daintier flowers and smaller heart-shaped leaves.
They are slow growing when young, and we propagate from tissue culture - individual plant cells - so availability is seasonal and limited.

Anthurium andreanum 'Fantasy Love'

APPEARANCE : A tropical plant with large dark green heart shaped leaves, and smaller distinctive heart-shaped flowers (botanically called spathes) in the "Obake' style - shaded colour of pink and green - during spring and autumn. Leaves and flowers have a glossy surface.
USE IN: Plant as a border in tropical style gardens and shaded underplanting. Perfect indoors in pots as anthuriums flower in shade; longlasting as cut flowers.
PLANTING: Prefers a sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Plant away from areas where children and pets play as the leaves contain a poisonous substance. Avoid sap contact with skin.
CARE: For a long flowering season provide plenty of bright, filtered light. Protect from frost and keep moist during dry periods. Anthuriums thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust, this will refresh the foliage to its usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.

YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
