Cute as a button flowering native, suited to borders and seaside gardens. We grow it on our Sunshine Coast nursery but it does prefer a less humid climate. Cut flowers may be dried for extended life, so you can enjoy them for longer.
DESCRIPTION: Compact native perennial with narrow foliage and yellow button-like flowers on tall stems. Flowers are popular with florists for both dried and fresh arrangements. Tolerates moderate drought and frost once established. PLANTING: Plant spring, summer & autumn direct in free draining soil or in seed raising mix. Gently press seeds into the soil before watering in. To boost germination try sprinkling Seed Starter Granules over the surface. CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established and during dry periods. Transplant to final position when seedlings reach approx 7cm. Add a slow release native fertiliser on planting. Trim to soil level if plants die back during winter, apply a layer of mulch and wait for them to burst to life spring through to autumn.
