What we love about this South American beauty - as well as those unusual honey-scented orange flowers - is it's extremely adaptable, and grows in heat or cold, clay or sand, sun or part shade, at the coast or up in the ranges. It's fast-growing to a BIG size, and the bees love it too.
Buddleja globosa - orange ball tree
APPEARANCE : Fast growing shrub flowering from summer through to late autumn with round clusters of golden orange honey-scented flowers. Non invasive; the parent of Golden Glow.USE FOR :  Mixed beds and borders, kitchen gardens, as a loose open hedge. Attracts bird life, butterflies and bees to your garden.
CLIMATE : Frost hardy, heat tolerant
PLANTING: Plant in full sun and free draining soil, mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Prune late winter to reduce size, if required. Fertilise in spring using a slow release fertiliser, give an extra boost during the summer heat using eco-seaweed.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 5-8 m H x 3-5m W.
