We've put this plant in the Full Sun category but what it really needs is lots of bright indirect light. Full direct sun will scorch those pretty leaves, but too little light and the plant will rival a consumptive Dickensian orphan.

Planted outside in ideal conditions, pink lady will cavort joyously through your flowerbeds  like Tiny Tim when the Christmas turkey arrives, so keep this one for indoor enjoyment in tropical zones.

Callisia repens ‘Pink Lady’ - turtle vine, inchplant, pink panther plant

APPEARANCE : Tropical trailing foliage plant with sage green paired leaves, shimmery in light, striped with pink. The plant can root easily along these stems to grow as a groundcover.
ORIGIN : Central America and the Caribbean
USE FOR : Hanging baskets and indoor planters
CLIMATE : Frost free, humid
PLANTING : Plant in free-draining gritty potting mix; site in bright indirect or filtered light for best leaf colour. Keep it warm and out of draughts. Plants that look faded or revert to green may need more light, along with those that become 'leggy', with long stretched-out stems.
CARE : Carefully snip out any dead stems or all-green stems; and snip back any that are too long. Mist regularly in dry rooms to maintain humidity. Water when the top section of the soil is dry (poke your thumb in to test) to keep the soil damp but not over-moist. Soft yellow leaves mean too much water; dry crispy leaves too little. Reduce watering in cooler months when growth slows. Pot into a larger container only when the roots have filled the pot.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH :   20cm H x 2m W or more in gardens.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
