Beautiful tri-coloured groundcover for dappled shade under trees where it will gently spread to form the most attractive weed-suppressing mat you could want. Bonus blue flowers, as well as the main attraction - those lovely leaves.

Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow' - bugle flower

APPEARANCE : Spreading groundcover that grows in a dense mound of green, cream, and rose-pink foliage, with spring-summer flowers in deep blue. Fast growing, frost hardy. Note : Some plants supplied may be Burgundy Lace which is almost identical, slightly lighter in colour range, you can see the variations in the image gallery.
USE FOR :  Mass planting, between pavers, between taller shrubs, ideal natural weed mat.
CLIMATE : Frost hardy. Grows well in shade.
PLANTING : Plant in part sun to shade in moist, well-draining humus-rich soil for best results. Will tolerate sunny locations but needs more water and protecting from afternoon sun.
CARE : No pruning required. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Water regularly during dry periods. Apply a slow-release fertiliser during Spring
