Chamelaucium Dawn Pearl - waxflower
New to market, one of the Helix range of waxflowers, fresh from the plant breeder. Dawn Pearl is a very early flowering wax that starts budding in winter on the west coast and flowers through into early spring.
White buds with red spots open into large pure white open blossoms of a much bigger size than usual.
Most of our waxflowers are usually available for sale late January-early February onwards until they sell out.

APPEARANCE : Late season native waxflower hybrid; pure white blooms 2cm across with a green centre appear from July to September. Tall growing variety with slender needle-like foliage typical of waxflowers. Also called Dancing Pearl. Bred at Kings Park Botanic Gardens in Perth.USE FOR : Native, seaside, and cottage gardens for flowering colour. Winter-spring garden borders. Excellent cut flower, trim a few stems and enjoy them indoors
CLIMATE : Tolerates light frost and is drought resistant once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
PLANTING : Plant in free draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position in the garden, best flowering is achieved in full sun. Suitable to exposed areas in most parts of Australia.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season, avoid cutting into old wood. Fertilise yearly using a slow release native fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : Up to 2 m H x 1.5 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
