Another gorgeous waxflower from the Helix Australia range, bred by Kings Park & Botanic Garden. Meghan has been specially developed for pot growing, and for cut flowers too - so she makes a lovely display on your deck as well as in your garden borders.

Cool two-tone pink flowers with warm musk-pink centres give Meghan a fresh lively look, and she flowers over a long period.

Description

Chamelaucium uncinatum 'Meghan' - Geraldton Wax, waxflower

APPEARANCE : Late season native waxflower hybrid; pink buds open to two-tone pink blooms with darker pink centres in mid spring. Tall growing variety with slender needle-like foliage typical of waxflowers.
USE FOR : Native, seaside, and cottage gardens for flowering colour. Winter-spring garden borders. Excellent cut flower; and bred for pot growing too
CLIMATE : Tolerates light frost and is drought resistant once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
PLANTING : Plant in free draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position in the garden, best flowering is achieved in full sun. Suitable to exposed areas in most parts of Australia. Tolerates light frost and is drought resistant once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season, avoid cutting into old wood. Fertilise yearly using a slow release native fertiliser.
