Goodia lotifolia - yellow bush pea, goldentip

APPEARANCE : Fast growing evergreen shrub with a slight rambling habit. Foliage is smooth, rounded, blue-green in colour. Bursts to life with sunny yellow pea-shaped flowers during spring. 
USE FOR :  Creating a natural screen, informal hedge, wildlife garden - the flowers attract native birds
PLANTING: Plant in full sun to light shade in free draining soil. Add some well composted manure when planting and follow up yearly with a slow release native fertiliser.
CARE : Continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Trim lightly after flowering to encourage compact growth and a fresh flush of flowers. Tolerates frost and drought once established. Boost with liquid fertiliser following extremely hot or dry conditions for best results. May be susceptible to scale at times of stress, this can be easily treated using an natural product such as eco-neem.
