Hymenosporum flavum - native frangipani

DESCRIPTION: Tall growing evergreen tree with scented flowers similar to frangipani. Flowers open cream coloured and turn rich yellow as they mature. Australian native originates from NSW and QLD rainforests.
USE IN: Ideal planted as a shade tree or feature tree for rainforest gardens. Fast growing in rich well-watered soils.
LOCATION: Plant in full sun to partly shaded position, protect from wind and frost.
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune after flowering to promote compact growth and flowering. Feed with a controlled release fertiliser after flowering for best results. Protect from frost.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: up to 20 m H (generally much less when planted in a sunny spot) x 6 m W.
PLEASE NOTE: These are tube-stock plants, with the benefit of being a young plant they will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm in height including the pot height of 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
