Half the height, all of the flowers - and in a pretty pale shade of purple too! This new variety is tough and resilient once established; an ideal size for informal sprawling hedges, it will cover a wide spread as underplanting too. 

 

Hardenbergia violacea 'Lilac Lace' - purple coral pea, happy wanderer

DESCRIPTION: Masses of winter colour with pale purple pea shaped flowers above a scrambling evergreen climber. Native to Australia. Leaves are usually long and slender, but can be wider when juvenile.
USES:  Allow to trail over fences for coverage and privacy. Lightweight, can be trained through other plants. Beautiful feature plant or mass planted for maximum flowering effect.
PLANTING:  Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden for maximum flowering period. Frost sensitive. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Prune after flowering to encourage dense growth habit and continued flowering. Reapply mulch and feed with a slow release native fertiliser during spring - Hardenbergia are phosphorus-sensitive so the P ratio of the fertiliser needs to be under 3%.
