Lobivia arachnacantha - black cactus
This cute little cluster of chubby balls, covered in a network of white spines, will sudenly surprise you with a big satiny flower - probably yellow or orange, might be red or white! It likes sun, very free-draining soil, shelter and warmth.
For such a little plant it has a lot of names. Formally, it goes by Lobivia - an anagram of its native Bolivia; and by Echinops. Informally it's also known as spiderweb cactus - the 'arachn(id)' part of the name; easter lily cactus, sea-urchin cactus, and peanut cactus!
