Super-pretty shrubby-herbaceous plant for borders and beds, even large pots. It loves warmth and regular rainfall, as its native home is tropical FNQ, India and southern Asia. Beautiful in full flower, and the perfect companion to white cat's whiskers. Even when the flowers are finished, the purple calyxes (the papery covering that holds the petals on) are still decorative, as you can see in the image gallery

We love purple cat's whiskers for the soft lilac colour, generous size, pollinator-friendly flowers
