Fast growing hardy purple hedge plant, small tree, or flowering border shrub. The dark leaves are handsome all year round and the lilac flowers add a flourish in summer. Excellent coastal plant - doesn't mind salt, wind, wet soil or full sun.

APPEARANCE : Decorative small tree, shrub or hedge plant with purple leaves and lilac flowers appearing during the warmer months of the year.
USE FOR : Hedges, mixed borders, informal gardens.
CLIMATE : Tolerates drought but thrives in well watered conditions and subtropical climates. Tolerates light overnight frost.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun in any good garden soil.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Regular tip pruning will help promote dense foliage for hedging. Heavy annual pruning will encourage new growth for more flowers.
