LIke a hip-high cloud of lacy parasols, this beautiful west coast native gently opens from pink to white as the flowers emerge in spring. It's absolutely gorgeous in full bloom.

If you favour natives, you'll love it; if you're a newbie to growing these plants it's a great place to start. The local pollinators will thank you too!

Pimelea ciliata 'Marshmallows' - white banjine

APPEARANCE : Free-flowering evergreen native dwarf shrub from WA, with clusters of domed pale pink-white four-petalled flowers from early spring to early summer. Leaves are small, arranged geometrically around the stem.
ORIGIN : Parent species is found in the Margaret River region of WA growing in a range of free-draining soils
USE FOR : Mixed borders, containers, native gardens, cottage gardens, wildlife gardens - butterflies' probosces are particularly suited to slender tubular flowers like these.
CLIMATE : Frost-free climate unless sheltered when it might come through a light frost.
PLANTING : Plant in well drained soil in a sunny position.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Once established, plants are low maintenance and drought tolerant, needing only an occasional clip to deadhead and encourage further flowering. Feed with a slow release or liquid fertiliser for native flowers during flowering to keep it blooming.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 60cm-1m H x 70cm-1m W.
