This native paper daisy is a real cutie with silver-grey foliage, and burgundy-pink buds that open to large white papery blooms throughout the year. Sunray Snow has more than earned its name as this plant can withstand alpine winters once established.
Rhodanthe anthemoides 'Sunray Snow' - chamomile sunray
APPEARANCE : Native fast-growing perennial that makes a neat rounded shape; narrow, small grey-green foliage and pink buds that open in spring to small papery white daisy-like blooms with gold centres. Flowers are larger than the species form. Also known as paper daisy.USE FOR: Rockeries, in pots and windowboxes, wildlife gardens, native gardens, spring colour, mixed flower borders.
LOCATION: Dislikes tropical humidity, prefers warm dry climates and chalky, gritty, or sandy free-draining soil. Will come through frost in free-draining soil. Very hot summers can cause the plant to stop flowering until temperatures cool again.
CARE: Mulch and water well in summer. Extra mulch in summer helps to keep the roots cool if the plant is in full sun all day. Deadhead old flowers with an allover clip to encourage further flowering. Feed in early spring with a low Phosphorus fertiliser for natives.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 30 – 40 cm H x 40 – 50 cm W
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants, with young healthy roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 42 mm wide and 80 mm high.
