Bees and butterflies adore sedum, which flowers long into autumn when other plants have started to wind down for winter. This is a waterwise plant too, good for drier soils and low rainfall areas. In full flower mature plants are covered in blooms, looking like a giant pale pink cauliflower.

APPEARANCE: Mounded herbaceous succulent, with petite silver-green leaves. The surface is covered with clusters of light pinkish-white star-shaped flowers in summer that are bee and butterfly attracting.USE FOR : Rockeries, roof gardens, waterwise beds, coastal gardens, pots, wildlife gardens. Dry poor soils where little else thrives.
PLANTING : Plant in free-draining soil in bright sunlight. Very happy in rocky sandy soils and exposed locations; doesn't like wet soils or clay. Totally cold hardy.
CARE: Almost none required. Snip off old flowerheads in winter if you want to tidy the appearance.
