Sempervivums are ideal if you are new to gardening, or short on time, as they are super-easy to look after, happy to grow in the toughest situations and still look good. Sempervivum means ever-living because they are so tough and resilient. Give them a little TLC and they really shine.

Cinnamon Starburst is a heavily clustering houseleek producing multiple rosettes in deep shades of cinnamon-red and green, more red in hot sun and more green in cool shade. You can see how the colour changes through the year in the image gallery.

Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Cinnamon Starburst'™

DESCRIPTION: Small neat pointy rosette succulent, green shading to spicy red at the edges. Colour is stronger in brighter light and seasonally. Semper-vivum means "ever-living".
USE IN: Rockeries, pots, green roofs, indoors, waterwise gardens.
LOCATION: Plant in free-draining gritty soil in full sun for maximum leaf colour and root health. Rock-solid cold hardy and drought tolerant once established.
CARE: Don't overwater; and water around - not into - the rosettes during summer heatwaves. Carefully remove dead old leaves by pulling gently. If any pups (little plants) form, remove them carefully and pot them on, or leave them in place to form a colony of groundcovering rosettes.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 10 cm H x 10 - 20 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
