Deep, dark, and delicious like a bar of finest 80% cocoa solids, this intensely-coloured houseleek is a dramatic addition to any succulent collection, and a robust hardy garden plant for dry soils, waterwise gardens, and exposed locations like roof terraces. You can see how the colour changes through the year in the image gallery.

Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Chocolate Kiss'™ - houseleek

APPEARANCE : Small neat pointy rosette succulent with deep burgundy-brown foliage that develops as the plant grows, and with light levels. Semper-vivum means "ever-living".
USE IN: Rockeries, pots, green roofs, indoors, waterwise gardens.
LOCATION: Plant in free-draining gritty soil in full sun for maximum leaf colour and root health. Rock-solid cold hardy and drought tolerant once established.
CARE: Don't overwater; and water around - not into - the rosettes during summer heatwaves. Carefully remove dead old leaves by pulling gently. If any pups (little plants) form, remove them carefully and pot them on, or leave them in place to form a colony of groundcovering rosettes.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 5 - 7 cm H x 30 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on. You can see an example in the image gallery.
